My daughter found this recipe on Tasty and asked me to make it – it’s been one of her most requested meals since.
What You Need to Make One-Pot Cheeseburger Pasta
- Ground beef
- yellow onion
- garlic
- salt
- black pepper
- ketchup
- Worcestershire sauce
- beef broth (I use low sodium),
- water
- rotini pasta (or fusilli)
- milk
- mild cheddar cheese.
How to Make One-Pot Cheeseburger Pasta
In a large pot add ground beef, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Cook over medium-high heat, breaking up beef, blending seasonings evenly. Cook until browned with no pink remaining and onions are translucent, approximately 7–8 minutes.
Next, add beef broth and water and bring to a simmer then add pasta and allow to simmer uncovered for approximately 17–20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pasta is ready when it is cooked to the desired texture and broth has cooked down.
*I didn’t photograph browning the beef and onions with seasonings – be sure to do that first!
Last, add 1/2 cup milk and cheese. Mix well until cheese is melted and evenly blended. Serve, salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
