    My Most Requested Pizza

Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato & Basil Naan Pizza with a Sweet Balsamic Drizzle!

Your Next Go-To Pizza Night Recipe!

If you love pizza, you’ll want to give this recipe a try. What started as a spur-of-the-moment Friday night dinner for visiting family quickly became a requested encore – they enjoyed it so much, I ended up making it again the very next night! My aunt even went as far as to call it “The World’s Most Amazing Pizza!” While that might be a touch grand, I can definitely say it’s delicious and so simple to prepare. I have a feeling this one will become a regular in your rotation.

Original Post date, February 20, 2013. Post Update, July 19, 2019
Since I first made this pizza almost eight years ago, it has become one of my most requested recipes.

Most Requested Pizza Recipe - Sweet Little Bluebird

The sweet balsamic dressing is a must! You can drizzle it on top of the pizza or serve it on the side to dip.

    MY MOST REQUESTED SALAD RECIPE

I always serve this pizza with my Most Requested Salad – it uses the same dressing and is to die for. Read the rave views!

    Ingredients

    • Naan – I used Fabulous Flats Original Tandoori Naan pictured above
    • Favorite Pizza/Italian Sauce
    • Fresh Mozzarella (or shredded Mozzarella in a bag) – enough to cover your pizza(s), cut into 1/4 thick slices
    • Fresh Tomatoes – plum, cherry, garden, seeded if you like
    • Fresh Sweet Basil, whole or chopped
    • Italian/Pizza Seasoning *Optional – I used Penzys Pizza seasoning, any brand will do.
    • Garlic Salt – just a dash

    Sweet Balsamic Dressing

    • 1/2 cup veg oil or canola
    • 1/3 cup sugar
    • 3 tablespoons good balsamic vinegar
    • 1/8 teaspoon dry mustard (or a little squeeze of yellow or Grey Poupon mustard)
    • Few twists of fresh cracked pepper Or use 1/8 tsp of reg ground black pepper

Whisk dressing ingredients until sugar and oil are blended.

    Directions

Preheat Oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly spray a cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray. If you have a pizza stone, use that. Top your naan with desired amount of sauce.  Cover pizza with fresh mozzarella. Top with desired amount of tomatoes and lightly sprinkle with Italian seasoning and garlic salt.

Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until naan turns golden brown on the edges. Remove from oven and top pizza(s) with fresh basil and lightly drizzle with sweet balsamic dressing. You can also use the sweet balsamic dressing as a dipping sauce.  Enjoy!

    Thanks for stopping by!
    Cheers!

I see recommendation for a “good” balsamic vinegar. What’s your favorite?
