- cream of mushroom soup (or make homemade condensed cream of mushroom soup)
- cream of chicken soup (or make homemade condensed cream of chicken soup)
- packet of dry onion soup mix (or make homemade dry onion soup mix)

How To Make Slow Cooker Smothered Pork Chops
Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place pork chops in cooker – season with salt and pepper if you like. In a large bowl, mix condensed soups, onion soup mix, mushrooms (drained, optional) and water.
Mix well. Pour mixture over pork chops. Cook on high for 4 to 5 hours, or on low for 6 to 8 hours.
*Be sure to watch out for bones when using bone-in pork chops. Make sure the pork chops reach a safe minimum internal temperature of 145 degree F. with a 3-minute resting time. Each slow cooker cooks at different rates, adjust cooking times according to your cooker.

I made this recipe yesterday for dinner and it was absolutely amazing!! Only thing I did different was sprinkled a little garlic powder on the chops along with the salt and pepper. My chops were about 3/4” thick and they were done in about 3 hours on low. Meat was very fork tender but still together. Absolutely delicious!! Thank you for sharing this recipe! I have asked this question before and I need to ask it again as I have forgotten. With the can of cream of mushroom soup and cream of chicken soup do I dilute each can with the recommended amount of water or do I add into the recipe undiluted?

Hi Ryan – Undiluted – do not follow the directions on soup cans. Add all the ingredients in the recipe with the 3/4 cups of water listed. Super easy recipe!

Using two cans of cream soup, I use 1/2 soup can of milk. I scrape down the insides of one can, pour into the second can and do the same, then it goes in the crockpot. I season my chops with SPG (salt, pepper and garlic powder) and in it goes.

Has good flavor but cook time needs to be adjusted. I checked mine at 6 hours on low and the 4 butterfly chops were already at 190 degrees and were able to be cut with a fork as if it were fish. I doubt it would take anything over 5 hours on low. I used a half cup of water, I think next time I might leave out the water altogether.

What an absolute delight! SO EASY and at 2 inches boneless with 7 hours on low, the chops literally cut with a fork! I made my own onion soup mix (Thanks for that link!) and low sodium “cream of” soups, so instead of water I used 1/2 cup of chicken bone broth. Instead of salt, I rubbed the chops with paprika, pepper and a little Italian seasoning. My hubby and mother in law couldn’t get enough! Served with garlic mashed cauliflower and asparagus. DELICIOUS! Will be certainly adding this to the rotation. Thank you for this great recipe!
