HOW TO MAKE SLOW COOKER SMOTHERED PORK CHOPS
Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Place pork chops in cooker – season with salt and pepper if you like. In a large bowl, mix condensed soups, onion soup mix, mushrooms (drained) and water. Mix well. Pour mixture over pork chops. Cook on high for 4 to 5 hours or on low for 7 to 8 hours.
*Be sure to watch out for bones when using bone-in pork chops. Make sure the pork chops reach a safe minimum internal temperature of 145 degree F. with a 3 minute resting time. Each slow cooker cooks at different rates, adjust cooking times according to your cooker.

This recipe is delicious! I added 6 whole yellow potatoes at the start which made the entire meal 😋.
I just made this but added heavy cream…. has anyone done this? I hope I didn’t make a mistake lol
I changed it up a little, I used 1can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of onion soup and a package of pork gravy mix. Instead of onion soup pkg and cream of chicken soup. Cooking now will let you know results.
How long should I cook if using frozen pork chops?
I love this recipe, I have used the left over sauce for pasta, and it was the best pasta, I have ever had
Hi! How would this recipe change with 2 LB. pork butt roast? Would the time change? Thanks! Looking forward to trying your recipes!
These were excellent! I just love it when a recipe delivers. Awesome. Thanks for the recipe
I will be doing 8 chops instead of 4, do I double the soups or will it be enough gravy?
This was a great recipe, pork chops were tender and tasty. I didn’t have the onion soup mix, substituted mushroom Gravy packet and some onion powder. I will definitely make this again, thanks!Sandie
If I want to do 8 pork chops should i double recipe.
If you want a lot of gravy, yes. It depends on the size of the pork chops too – but I think you should be good if they are boneless.
I don’t have a slow cooker. I do have a great 4 qt stock pot. Made by LIfetime which is made to cook slow. Can I use that instead of a slow cooker for the Smothered Pork Chops with mushroom gravey?
Can you double this recipe? I made this recently and we loved it but had just enough. We have more people coming to dinner so we need a couple of more pork chops!
Sure, it will just take longer to cook, Linda.
Is it possible to make this same recipe with chicken instead of pork chops? What would change in the cooking process?
Can i do this in the oven? And if so what’s your recommendation for temp and time? Thanks!
By the way I’ve done it in the slow cooker and it’s wonderful! I was just shorter on time this time and thought the oven might work!
Tried these for dinner, very good & simple to make . Being a widower I have turned to the crock pot for making meals . Thank you for the site , its helpful. Keep up the good work. I’ll return for more meal ideas
Glad you liked the recipe, Bill. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I use the slow cooker a lot in the summer. Living in Georgia the last few summers, it’s a great way to make home cooked meals without heating up the kitchen and house.

Anyone in Texas run to HEB and get crem of jalapeno or crem of pablano to replace others. AMAZING!
Is there an Instant Pot Recipe for this? I would love to make it for dinner tonight but its too late to start in the crockpot =( Thanks in advance!
Is the recipe the same using 20 thin pork chops?
I made this recipe today and cannot find enough good words to say! Everyone loved it –even the dog! I followed the recipe exactly- -a first for me, and I wouldn’t change a thing! I was a little hesitant to use the dry onion soup because
I thought it would make it too salty, but it actually pumps up the flavors so you don’t get that”cream soupy taste” It wasn’t salty at all! I will definitely be sharing this and making it again. Thanks for posting this!
You fed this to the dog? The salt alone is deadly – the onions are a never for a dog – this is NOT a treat for your fur friend. This is a bad practice to have. Please take time to read up on what is GOOD for your dog. Being a good dog owner is more than giving them what you believe they like. Good luck to your dog.
I tried these tonight and mine turned out great! I am single so I modified your recipe. I did 2 frozen pork loin chops about an inch thick (which worked out to be about a little over a pound), 1 can cream of mushroom, 1 can of mushrooms with the juice, a little milk, and some extra spices, and the onion soup. I put mine in a programmable 4.5qt crockpot for 9 hours on low and the pork fell apart and it was still juicy! Thanks for the recipe will definitely be making this again!
I love this recipe!! Even with making the cream of chicken soup with the recipe you had, it took me 20 minutes until everything was in the crock pot. I served it over egg noodles and it was a hit! Putting this in my dinner rotation for sure 🙂
Amazing! Only word for it! I would of liked my gravy thicker. I use 1/4 of a cup of water and it was thinner than I’d like. Overall Amazing!
Can I use country style pork ribs for smothered pork chops
Yes, I would use boneless, Bianca.
I make this and also add Worcestershire sauce . It really adds good flavor.
I pot my crockpot from Costco and it seems to over cook my meat. Any suggestions? Maybe only on low or half and half?
I would try the low setting, Kat.
