Today I’m sharing the perfect cookie for a sweet and salty craving – Loaded Sweet & Salty Chocolate Chip Cookies, Aka Kitchen Sink Cookies!

SWEET & SALTY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES (Kitchen Sink Cookies)

Cookies loaded  with semi-sweet chocolate chips, Reese’s peanut butter chips, pretzel pieces and caramel bits…a sweet & salty winner!

There is something about sweet and salty people love and crave! In my most recent quest for a sweet-salty tooth, I made a batch of cookies loaded with sweet and salty goodness.

Loaded Sweet & Salty Chocolate Chip Cookies

    Aka Kitchen Sink Cookies

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup salted butter/Softened at room temperature (2 sticks)
    • 3/4 cup light brown sugar – packed
    • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    • 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 1 cup peanut butter chips
    • 1 cup caramel bits (optional – you can substitute with extra chocolate and/or PB chips)
    • 1 cup pretzel pieces (small pretzel sticks broken them into small pieces)

    Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until they are smooth/creamy.

Next, add eggs and vanilla. Blend well, until smooth/creamy. Now add flour, then salt and baking soda on top – mix until all the dry ingredients are just blended – Do Not Over Mix.

Last, add chocolate and peanut butter chips, caramel bits and pretzels. Fold the ingredients into the dough, until just blended. Do not over mix.

    Place heaping round tablespoons of dough on an ungreased cookie sheet, approximately one inch apart. {I use The Pampered Chef’s Medium size scooper for the dough, it’s the perfect size and I never have to touch the dough – love that!}

Place cookies in the oven on the middle rack and bake for 9–11 minutes, depending on your oven. Bake until cookies turn a light golden brown. Remove, place cookies on rack to cool. Recipe makes 4 dozen cookies.  ENJOY!

    Thanks for stopping by!
    Cheers!

I couldn’t find the caramel bits so I just bought the caramel candy. Will it work if I just cut the caramels up in small bits?

I couldn't find the caramel bits, so I used Heath toffee bits and they came out fantastic!
