How to Make Marinated Hot Ranch Pretzels

Pour the bag of pretzels in a gallon ziplock bag. Next, in a measuring cup, add the oil and all the seasonings – then mix well.

Then pour the oil and spice mixture over the pretzels in the bag. Finally, seal the bag tightly and gently shake, tossing/turning, to ensure all pretzels are evenly coated.

Allow the spicy pretzels to marinate in the bag for 3 hours. During this time, gently shake/toss/turn the bag about every 30 minutes to ensure the pretzels are evenly coated.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What ranch seasoning is best for spicy ranch pretzels?

This recipe requires ranch salad dressing seasoning mix, NOT the dip mix.

Does this recipe require baking the pretzels?

Baking is not required. These pretzels are crunchy, not wet or oily. During the 3-hours “marinating” in the bag, the pretzels absorb the oil, resulting in crunchy goodness.

Some people insist on baking the pretzels. If you feel you must bake them, bake at 250°F for 10–15 minutes on a baking sheet.

    Are the pretzels very hot?

These pretzels have a nice kick, but they’re not painfully hot. Even those who aren’t fans of hot and spicy food (like my husband) enjoy them.

How do you store the pretzels?

Store pretzels in an airtight container or ziplock bag at room temperature for up to 7 days – if they last that long!
