Today’s tried and true recipe is a quick and easy version of a family favorite – Beef Stroganoff!
GROUND BEEF STROGANOFF – A delicious shortcut version for Beef Stroganoff that uses ground beef (hamburger) for a quick, easy twist on an old school classic. Dinner can be on the table in about 30 minutes, delivering a comforting, hearty meal the whole family will love.
This recipe is from Betty Crocker and was a big hit with my family. Even my daughter’s friends loved this dish. There were no leftovers! I love that it was such a cinch to make and I was able to deliver this classic, shortcut recipe in about 30 minutes.
This recipe was not pretty to photograph – please don’t let the photos fool you, this is a great recipe.
I followed the recipe to a T. Well, that’s not exactly true, I had portabella mushrooms I cut into bite size pieces, not baby portabella – other than that, no changes.
Great Reviews!
This recipe has a lot of great reviews on Betty Crocker. What I love about beef stroganoff, it’s easy to adapt to your taste. A couple reviews stated it was a bit bland, which is easy to solve (I did not find it bland). If you know you like a lot of garlic, add more and so on. When I make classic Beef Stroganoff I always add red wine. The next time I make this, I plan to add about 1/4 to 1/3 cup. I’ll be sure to update this post, letting you know the results. The recipe is already great as written.

How I needed this on Monday! Needless to say I made a different recipe and it was a total bomb! Even when my kids and husband don’t like a meal I still usually do, but I barely ate any. I have just been craving those cozy meals lately. I am going to give it another go with this recipe! Your post came just in time!!
