One of The Easiest Peach Desserts

These ooey gooey peach dumplings are soft on the inside with a crispy sugar topping baked in an incredible sauce. Best of all, they can be made year-round. In the summer you can use fresh peaches and the rest of the year, canned or frozen. Perfect for holidays, potlucks, a quick last-minute dessert and more.

What you need to make Easy Crescent Roll Peach Dumplings (full recipe at bottom of post)

    • peaches (canned, fresh or frozen)
    • refrigerated crescent roll dough (or homemade crescent roll dough)
    • butter
    • granulated sugar
    • brown sugar
    • ground cinnamon
    • Sprite (or 7-Up, Mountain Dew, Fresca, or similar citrus-style sodas)
    • vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for topping
This photo shows the ingredients needed to make the dumplings inside a disposable 9x13 baking aluminum pan (cans of peaches, crescent rolls, butter, cinnamon and a bottle of Sprite). Next to the pan is a bag of granulated sugar and a bag of brown sugar.

How to Make Easy Crescent Roll Peach Dumplings

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9×13 pan with non-stick cooking spray, coating well.

Carefully open crescent roll packages and divide the dough into individual triangles on a clean work space (kitchen counter or cutting board).

Starting at the wide end crescent triangle, place 1 or 2 peach slices depending on slice sizes, sprinkle with a little cinnamon, just a pinch, and roll. Roll the dumplings, starting from the wide end, tucking the pointy end underneath. Repeat filling and rolling the remaining dumplings.

This photo shows the dumplings after rolling, placed in the baking pan.

Place dumplings in the prepared baking dish.

This photo shows the baking pan with the rolled dumplings inside, with a bowl of the sugar mixture in front of the pan.

In a medium size microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter, then add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, remaining 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon and mix well until smooth.

Spoon the cinnamon-sugar-butter evenly over the dumplings.

This photo shows the dumplings in the pan after adding the sugar-butter mixture, with a hand holding a bottle of sprite, ready to pour around the dumplings.

Last, pour soda AROUND DUMPLINGS, avoid pouring soda on top of the dumplings…this allows the dumplings to get a crispy crust topping!

Bake on the middle rack of the oven for 30–35 minutes.

The dumplings are ready when they start to turn golden brown on top and the crescents are thoroughly baked. For fresh peaches, check with a toothpick or fork for desired tenderness.

Remove from oven and allow to cool for about 10 minutes. Serve warm, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
