    Easy Beer Bread

I made my very first loaf of Beer Bread and it turned out great!
It was quick and easy, which I love!

I found the recipe on Ezra Pound Cake

    Here’s how you make it!

    Ingredients:
    3 cups flour
    3 tablespoons sugar
    1 tablespoon baking powder
1 12oz bottle of beer  (I used Yuengling)
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted – *I only had salted and worked just fine.  You can cut amount if butter in half, using just a 1/4 cup.

    Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
    Grease 9x5x3 loaf pan

In large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients.  Slowly add the beer and stir with wooden spoon until just mixed. Pour 1/2 of your melted butter in bottom of loaf pan.  Pour beer batter in pan and pour remaining butter over top.  Place in oven, bake for 50-60 mins on middle rack, until golden brown.  *place a cookie sheet on bottom rack to catch drippings.

Serve hot!  I used Knorr’s veggie dip for dipping!
