    Cereal Toppings for Ice Cream

We are on Spring Break this week and my two girls and I are headed to Florida. I’m looking forward to the warm weather and sun.  My little one, she is looking forward to ice cream, lots and lots of ice cream, her all-time favorite food. Myself, I’m not a big ice cream person – well, that was until I discovered the yummiest topping!  I was sick a few weeks ago, sore throat, nothing sounded good to eat, expect ice cream.  I scooped some chocolate ice cream in a bowl and wanted to put something crunchy on top, like nuts.  I went to the pantry and rummaged around, then saw my little one’s box of Cocoa Pebbles.  I thought, why not try that!  I sprinkled some on top and mixed it in.   Uh oh, wish I had never done that….it was soooooo good!  Talk about chocolate crunchy yumminess!

My husband loves Fruity Pebbles on Vanilla Ice Cream!  He’s welcome. 🙂

Next time you go for a bowl of ice cream, check out what cereal you have in your cupboard,  sprinkle some on top…you might find a new favorite!

Cereals to try for toppings:  Cocoa Krispies, Rice Krispies Treats Cereal, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cocoa Puffs, Reese’s Puffs, Cookie Crisp, Apple Jacks, Captain Crunch – Berries & PB, Frosted Flakes, Grape Nuts, Fruit Loops, Trix and so on…

Thanks so much for stopping by!
    Cheers!

Well aren't you clever! I could love the cocoa crispys on ice cream easily. Sam loves some kind of blueberry cinnamon crunch cereal…I'll tell him to try it with ice cream and of course, he'll think you are awesome…again!
