Are you ever curious how some bloggers come up with the names for their blogs? I am.
I thought I’d share how I came up Sweet Little Bluebird.
As a child, my favorite people in the world were my grandparents, William and Mary. I loved spending time with them. My grandparents called me their little Hothouse Rose. I always wanted to be by their side, hanging out, doing whatever they were doing.
One of my favorite things in their home were these tiny glass bluebirds they had in their windowsill, called Bluebirds of Happiness. You can learn more about the glass bluebirds here.
When I got married and moved away, one of the first things I got for my home was my very own little glass bluebird. Seeing it brought me so much comfort and helped me feel close to my grandparents when they were so far away.
Both of my grandparents are now gone, but never forgotten. These are the bluebirds that were in their windowsill and are now in mine. Every morning when I see them, they bring me so much happiness. They are sweet reminders of my grandparents and my childhood.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Cheers!

I have one blue bird that my dad gave me and one that belonged to them–my mom loved glass/ceramic birds. They were married 75 1/2 years when my mama died.
